The ’real’ dog sledding experience
Dog sledding in Mont-Tremblant is a simple, authentic, and deeply Nordic adventure.
From the moment you arrive, the mood settles in. You see the equipped truck, the hand-bent ash sleds, and the excited dogs ready to run. Your guide welcomes you, gives clear instructions, and sets the tone. Safety comes first, and then the magic begins.
The Pack
The teams are made of Huskies and Alaskans from trusted bloodlines. Their energy is contagious. The ride starts gently, and soon the glide becomes smooth and steady. The snow absorbs every sound, the Laurentian forest opens in front of you, and the frozen lakes turn into your playground. When conditions allow, you can even drive your own sled behind the guide. The commands are easy to learn, and support is always close, so everyone finds a comfortable pace.
The Experience
Along the route, you learn how to read tracks and spot signs of wildlife. You also discover how the territory works through the seasons. The guide shares stories of coureurs des bois, explains how the dogs work, and talks about their care and rest. You may catch yourself smiling for no reason—simply because the moment feels right.
In order to enjoy the activity fully, dress warmly and wear insulated gloves and boots. Also keep your phone warm so the battery lasts longer. If the weather changes, the tour goes ahead as long as conditions remain safe. Otherwise, we reschedule with you. Families are welcome as well. Feel free to contact us to find the best setup based on your children’s ages.
If you want to explore the region further, the Mont-Tremblant National Park website offers helpful information about the environment and winter conditions. It’s an excellent resource when planning your day.
